software: all you need is iTunes, Apple’s multimedia software that comes pre-installed on all Mac computers and that is also available as a\u00a0free<\/strong>\u00a0program\u00a0for PCs equipped of the Windows operating system.<\/p>\n Now that I’ve briefly explained to you what you need to use to backup your iPhone, are you ready to pay attention to me?\u00a0In this tutorial I will explain how to do the procedure in detail.\u00a0Keep your iOS device in hand and follow the steps I am going to indicate to you in the following lines.\u00a0I wish you a good read.<\/p>\n As I explained in the introduction of this tutorial, the most common method for backing up an iPhone involves using iTunes.\u00a0Thanks to this software, you can easily copy contacts, messages, applications, photos, videos, songs and any other data stored on the iOS smartphone to your computer.<\/p>\n There is also an alternative way to store all iPhone files on the Internet: in this case, the use of iCloud, Apple’s cloud storage platform, is required to be more precise.\u00a0However, it should be emphasized that iCloud offers free to all users only 5GB of space for online data storage.\u00a0But we’ll talk about this later: but now let’s go in order and begin to see\u00a0\u00a0how to proceed to back up your iPhone\u00a0\u00a0in a traditional way, that is locally on your computer, thanks to iTunes.<\/p>\n As I said, iTunes is already pre-installed on Mac computers and you only have to start it by clicking on its icon.\u00a0Instead, if you have a Windows computer and have not yet installed\u00a0\u00a0iTunes<\/strong>\u00a0, download the program from\u00a0\u00a0the Apple website\u00a0.\u00a0Connect to the site that I have linked you and click on the\u00a0Download<\/strong>\u00a0button\u00a0\u00a0.<\/p>\n Now you will have to install it: all you need to do is double-click on the\u00a0iTunesSetup.exe<\/strong>\u00a0installation\u00a0file<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0you just downloaded to start the installation client.\u00a0Then you have to click on “iPhone” to the computer using the supplied Lightning \/ Dock cable.\u00a0Then insert one end of the Lightning \/ Dock cable into your computer’s USB mail and wait for iTunes to recognize the device.<\/p>\n Please note that if this is the first time you connect your iPhone to your PC, you may see an alert on your PC.\u00a0You will then have to answer affirmatively on the warning that
